Whooping cough

Whooping cough - (Hindustan Kukur khansi) - It is a contagious cough, which generally attacks young children though sometimes adults also; usually only once in life. It begins with a common cough, but after some days, the cough comes on it 'fits' after which the breath is drawn in with a long effort and accompanied by a peculiar 'whoop' (a sound). Vomitting often attends the fit of coughing and the suffocation of the child may appear threatened when suddenly the characteristics 'whoop' is heard which terminates in paroxysm and the child returns to its play.
Simple whooping cough is never fatal but unfortunately whooping cough may excite other disease. The average duration of this disease is about 6 weeks, but it may get well in a few days or weeks or continue for months. Give MP 3x alone mixed with hot water each time. Homoeopathic Drosera 30 - 1 pill twice daily is very good. Try it for a few days. Then 1 pill of Drosera 200 once a week. If no good, take about 1 grain of Kali Sulph 3x and mix it with 4 oz of water - 1 teaspoonful should be given every 2 or 3 hours for 1 day, failing which add to it about 1 grain of MP 3x and give similarly for 3 or 4 days. If this fails give mixture of CF 3x, CP 3x or 12x, FP 12x in hot water. If not improved in 3 or 4 days increase potency of all (except FP) to 6x. Take a few seeds of tamarind (Hindustani Imli ka Chia), put them in smouldering fire for a short time till the hard covers crack. Take them out from the fire and remove the covers. The inner substance should be ground and add honey. It is one dose. Give it morning and evening.
