Pneumonia - A serious disease - There is high fever short dry cough with scanty, tenacious expectoration, at first white and frothy, at a later period 'rusty' or streaked with blood. The lungs are inflamed. There is much pain in the chest while coughing. In favourable cases, on the fifth or seventh day, there is sudden fail in temperature and free persipiration. In unfavourable cases, on the fourth or fifth day, breathing becomes more frequent and difficult, the pulse quicker and the skin better and delirum comes in which is followed by death. The following Homeopathic formula never fails -give 1 pill of Bryonia 6 alternately with 1 pill of Phosphorus 6 every 2 hours. If relief, interval should be increased. Mixture of CP 3x or 12x, FP 12x, KM 3x, KP 3x, KS 3x, MP 3x, NM 3x, NP 3x and NS 3x every 1 or 2 hours; failing which mixture of CS 3x and S 12x. For local application see under the heading, COUGH. Local application thrice or four times daily. Take 1 clove (Hindustani Long) and put it in 8 oz. I.e. 1 pao of water and boil it for 10 minutes. Give a chatak i.e. 2 oz twice or thrice daily. |
