Mumps - An infectious disease. It begins with a light fever; there is painful inflammation of a gland situated behind the jaw below the ear - Mixture of FP 12x, KM 3x and NM 3x every 3 hours for 12 hours; if it does good continue it; if not give mixture of CF 3x, CP 3x or 12x, FP 12x, KM 3x, KP 3x, MP 3x, NM 3x, NP 3x, NS 3x and S 12x failing which give mixture of CS 3x and KS 3x. At the same time give Homoeopathic medicines, Bell 6. Merc Cor 6, Puls 6 and Pilocarpine Mur 3 one after the other 1 pill every 3 hours. KM 3x may be given as preventive. Hindustani medicine are Kalijiri; Kuchla and Indrayan ka Phal- all these should be powdered in equal quantities and mixed; put in a little water and heat and apply hot 2, 3 times daily. This can be given along with above. Parotidinum 30 - 1 pill 3 times daily is very good - curative and presentive. |
