Dysentery - A disease in which the stools are mixed with mucous or blood; there is pain in bowles and feverishness. Mixture of CP 3x or 12x, FP 12x, KM 3x, KP 3x NM 3x and NS 3x. This medicine has won laurels. This cures 95 percent cases of both types of dysentery viz. Amaebic and bacillary. Even very chronic cases are cured. If this fails to relieve within 24 hours given CS 3x. If this also fails give mixture of CF 3x, KS 3x, NP 3x and S 12x. Some times Cholera powder acts and cures. If all these fail, give Nux Vom 6 or Aloe soc 6 or Merc Cor 6 -1 pill 4 times daily. In obstinate cases, 1 pill of CS 200 and 1 pill of NM 200 should be given at 6 p.m. and if necessary repeat after 2 days in the evening. Another useful recipe is to take a chatak (2 oz) of fresh milk (preferably cows' milk) and put in it juice of half a lemon and take it at once- morning and evening. Another recipe, which is useful for dysentery and other stomach troubles is to take 1/4 Tola of Triphala powder(Har, Bahera and Aonle), 1/2 Tola of Til Oil, 1/2 Tola of honey - mix - it in one dose to be taken in morning and evening. Another recipe is given under Diarrhoea. If the patient passes blood with stools, give mixture of CP 3x or 12x, FP 12x, KM 3x, KP 3x, MP 3x and NM 3x. If no blood is passed the above may be given with NS 3x added to it. For obstinate cases opf dysenery, 1 pill of NM 200 at sunset and 1 pill of CS 100 in the morning on alternate days is a specific treatmentt. If the stool or slime is mixed with blood and the mixture given in the here fails (which it seldom does) take 2 rasgullas (Indian sweetmet) remove its juice, add juice of Lemon (Kagzi Neeboo) 3 times daily, If there is no blood, take 2 good peras. (North Indian sweetmeat), put them in 1 Pao(i.e. 8 oz) water and add juice of 1 lemon (Kagzi Neeboo). |
