Diarrhoea - Loose stools, same medicines as for Cholera. If it fails, give dysentery powder. I pill of Podophyllum 6 every 2 or 3 hours if stool is watery and is expelled with great force like water from hydrant. It acts wonderfully. In obstinate cases, 1 pill of CS 200 and 1 pill of NM 200 given in the evening as about 6 p.m. and repeated after 2 days if necessary often cures. For diarrhoea, dysentery and vertigo, a good recipe is to take 1 chatak of dry Aonla; fry it in Ghee; also take one or 1/2 tola zeera, which had been fried; also take 1/8 tola heeng fried and Lahori salt. This is to be taken with curd which had been put in cloth and hang up so that water thereof may fall off. Mix the above. It is one dows - morning and evening for 2 or 3 days only. For obstinate cases of Diarrhoea 1 pill of NM 200 at sunset and 1 pill of CS 200 in the morning on alternate days is a specific treatment |
